It's been 12 years since the release of the cult classic Napoleon Dynamite — yes, 12 — and, obviously, a lot has changed. One thing, however, that's still taking people by surprise is how much the film's star Jon Heder has grown up. Without his sandy perm, wiry glasses, "Vote for Pedro" T-shirt, and impressively monotone voice, the actor is pretty much unrecognizable. Seriously, if you saw Jon on the street, you might even walk past him without a thought — or, as much of the internet seems to think, deem him hot.

If there's one thing Jon is good at, it's acting like a total chameleon. Not only have his looks transformed since Napoleon Dynamite, so has his resume. He's held down roles in everything from Blades of Glory to The Benchwarmers, School for Scoundrels, and Mama's Boy, to name a few.

But even though he looks a lot different now, Jon hasn't strayed far from his roots. He's often posting Napoleon Dynamite fan art on Instagram and, last winter, he took a family photo where everyone was dressed in "Vote for Heifer" shirts to raise awareness for nonprofit Heifer International.

If Jon ever needs an extra friend he can always hit up Harry Potter's Victor Krum, aka Stanislav Yanevski, so they can, you know, reminisce about the aughts and bond over being film favorites who grew up to look nothing like their characters.
