Students have an opportunity to retell a familiar story using this retell activity set. The animals are included in a color vision and a blackline version.
This set includes two options for assembling a retell kit. The first option is to attach a mitten to a paper bag and insert the animals into the paper bag as if they were going into the mitten. This option makes it easy for all of the animals to escape when the big sneeze occurs. The second option is to print the large mitten on cardstock, staple it to a second piece of cardstock, and insert the animals into the cardstock mitten. You may choose to have the students cut out the shape of the mitten or leave as a large rectangle. Students may need a bit of assistance with this option to ensure the staples are not too far into the center of the mitten.
