The tune of Greensleeves dates from England around the time of Henry VIII, and some say that it was even written by the king himself though that is unlikely. The well-known tune is also used for the Christmas Carol "What Child is This?". This version is for flute and guitar accompaniment and the players can use the following parts for Guitar (score) and Flute (also playable by oboe, violin and many other instruments in C). The following alternative parts can be used by other instruments: High (also in C), Bass (also in C), Clar (in B-flat), Horn (in F, Sax (in E-flat) and Viola (using the alto clef).
