Kealia Ohai finally got her first cap for the United States Women’s National Team and she made sure to make her mark. It took her just 48 seconds into that cap to score her first goal for the United States Women’s National Team.

The USWNT gave up a goal in the seventh minute of the game, but went on to win the game against Switzerland 5-1. Carli Lloyd scored a brace in the game. Also getting on the score sheet for the USWNT was Christen Press and Crystal Dunn. The 48-second goal for Ohai is the fastest scoring debut in USWNT history.

Ohai has had an amazing 2016 which included narrowly missing winning the Golden Boot in the NWSL. Ohai scored 11 goals for the Houston Dash tying Lynn Williams for goals in 2016. Williams had the edge when it came to a tie breaker as Williams had five assists on the season while Ohai had four.
