Adrian Kozakiewicz, an exotic insect collector and seller based in Germany, filmed the African land snail crawling over his face and posted the footage online.

The snail, scientifically known as Achatina fulica, is native to east Africa.
Although they are not poisonous they are capable of transmitting human diseases, especially when their mucus is used in topical treatments or they are eaten raw.
The species has been blamed for several dog deaths after they were accidentally consumed by pets.
