The Cotswold Wildlife Park in Oxfordshire has been loaned a very rare species of Iguana.

Adult Fijian Banded iguana

It’s the first time a Fijian Banded iguana has been hatched in the UK. At the moment it’s only 14 inches long but it will grow to about 24 inches - small compared to other Iguana’s like the Rhinoceros Iguanas.

The park is now looking for a European female mate for 7943 (the current name of the small green lizard) and we are looking to give him a proper name.

If you use the form below you can send in your suggestions to name this extremely rare lizard. The winning moniker will be announced on the Danny Cox show on Friday 2nd of June 2006.
