Overview

For many years, the town of Star Valley was peaceful and happy. Its security was owed to the magical unicorn goat named Charlie. He was well known by the villagers for watching the town from his hill while snacking on their old clothes. Little did the villagers know about Charlie's power to create sweets out of thin air or how his interesting power would soon become very handy. But they were about to find out that candy is an excellent way to stop a thief.

About the Author

Judith Garbers turned to writing and illustrating children’s books as a way to combine some of her favorite things: art, kids, superheroes, and candy. And because she knows many people enjoy these things, too, she introduced the world to a magical goat whose single horn has the power to make candy. After all, what could be a better hero? Her enchanting whimsical stories, illustrated in hand-painted watercolors, are able to bring out the kid in anyone (especially kids).
In her free time, she can be found doing basically every type of art—from drawing to knitting to sculpting clay. As a result of her countless hours devoted to her artwork, she received a Medallion Award for Excellence in Fine Arts and was nominated for Artist of the Year by The Register. Judith also volunteers with children and aspires to be an elementary school teacher. Her favorite time to be outside is when it rains, which unfortunately for her is rare in her home in Southern California. And for no particular reason, she calls all her paper origami cranes Jeffery.
