Matthew McConaughey Shares Rare Snaps of 14-Year-Old Daughter Vida to Celebrate Her Birthday

Matthew McConaughey is one proud dad!

The Lincoln Lawyer actor shared two rare snaps of his 14-year-old daughter Vida to mark her birthday on Thursday. Alongside the beautiful, candid images, the actor’s heartfelt caption read, “To Vida, who never passed a flower she didn’t pick, Happy Birthday.”

The 54-year-old's daughter’s special day was actually Jan. 3, rather than Jan. 4 when he shared the images with his 9.3 million Instagram followers. But the actor quickly explained away the delay!

“A day late because my mobile device flew out of my pocket on the roller coaster loop at her birthday party yesterday,” he added, sharing how the family had marked Vida'a special day.

One of McConaughey's images showed the teen in a field wearing an oversized, plaid shirt while the second snap saw her taking in a beautiful sunset while wearing tie-dyed sweatpants and white sneakers. 

Fans and followers were quick to point out Vida’s striking resemblance to her mom, Brazilian model Camila Alves McConaughey, 40 — whom Matthew married in 2012.

“God does she look like her mama,” one fan commented, while a second added, “Camilla’s mini me,” and a third said, "She’s a copy of Camilla.”

As well as Vida, the actor and model also share sons Levi, 15, and Livingston, who turned 11 last month.

“Double one’s, we love watching you grow. Thanks for puttin so many smiles on our faces. love, Papa’s,” Matthew wrote on Instagram at the time, alongside a photograph of Livingston sitting on his lap. Meanwhile, Camila reposted a photo carousel from son Levi, adding her own sweet caption.

"“Well… When your oldest son has such a great post for his little brothers birthday, I give up coming up with my own!😂😂 re-posting it!" she wrote, adding, "Today we celebrate, our youngest, turning 11!!! He bring so much joy and learnings to our lives. It is hard to put into words!!”

And proving they are a close-knit family, Levi shared a touching tribute to his father on his 54th birthday in November.

"People know Matthew McConaughey as an actor and now a writer, but I know him as my father," the teen began in his caption, which accompanied a carousel of family photos. "The man who always makes time for us no matter what, the man who’s always there for us no matter what, and the man that taught me to appreciate the journey and not just the destination."

Finally, Levi wished his dad the best, concluding, "The journeys just getting started…Happy birthday Papai."

Back when she turned 13, Vida’s mom’s turn paid tribute to her daughter on social media. Celebrating the newly minted teen with a snap alongside actor Woody Harrelson, Camila joked: "Uncle @woodyharrelson is questioning if the cake is vegan or not!!! 🫣😂.” 

She continued: "How does this go people! Time flies… 13! You are my ray of sunshine Vida!!! Your name explains everything about you, 'life' (#tb on celebrating her birthday on our family vacation trip January 3rd) 💚💛💚💛💚💛💚💛💛💛💚💛."
