The highlight for me was seeing that we actually made a positive change to the Ugandan teachers practice. They were so thankful and really positive about the whole thing! This was really rewarding as it showed how we can support without travelling to Uganda.
The response from the people I worked with in Uganda was wonderful. They were grateful and very open to learning new ways of working to support them and the children they teach. Although online, I learnt so much about life in a Ugandan classroom too.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to virtually meet the Nurture Africa Health Centre Staff in Uganda and the face to face interacting through Zoom. I found the experience very rewarding and beneficial, as my knowledge of Health Care in Uganda and Ireland has increased.
