BAFANA BAFANA AFCON 24. THE SPIRIT OF 96 & 98

BAFANA BAFANA AFCON 24. THE SPIRIT OF 96 & 98

We are proud of the boys for having qualified for this year's tournament of African pride and prowess.

Again we salute the entire team for managing to get through on our own accord and with destiny in hand. No scientific calculators needed... We do hope that we will manage to carry the flag heavy on our backs like Siya Kholisi did, like the previous class of '96 and '98. It really has been a while since we've landed on our African soil and dominated. We hope and have the confidence that this is the time to shine for our country, not only from a football stance but like in '96 from a political one too. Power and Pride to the Nation. Power and Pride to the Boys!

This one should be dedicated to the likes of Mandela, Tovey, Williams, Radebe, Tinkler, Barker, Motaung, Arendse, McCarthy, Khomane, Vonk, Fortune, August, Sono and many more who are pride of our previous successes on this continent.

I've drafted my own version of the 23-man squad that we could borrow from many clubs in our country and only a few abroad to travel and conquer as one. The one I borrow strength from is the one of the Springboks badge. Let's get in and come out bloody and proud of the badge. South Africa; The Rich Mother of the Universe.

Here; how my Bafana Bafana matchday squad squares up against the best teams on the continent to win the AFCON 24 edition in Cote d'Ivoire. All in the Spirit of Bafana Bafana 96 & 98.
