Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams, star attacker Percy Tau, ever-green Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane, SuperSport United's Siyanda Xulu, and AmaZulu custodian Veli Mothwa represented the national team in the meeting with the federation officials.The meeting was meant to motivate players ahead of their departure to Ivory Coast where the biennial competition will be held.

If they win, they get $7 million (R131 million), if they lose they get nothing. We want the team to focus and perform. We have over a period of time settled this team and we don’t want to waste time discussing unnecessary stuff."
