Introducing Little Stints: Small group travel for families with young kids

Welcome to Little Stints –

A travel company focused on small group travel for families with young kids.

After many years of traveling with kids and wondering why there weren’t better options for families with young kids who wanted to take an organized trip, I finally decided to bite the bullet and launch a company myself to fill that need.

Our mission: Make travel enjoyable for both parents AND young kids.

Expectations

This is what you can expect on a Little Stints trip…

  • Kid-paced travel: an itinerary specifically designed to not stress anyone out or pack too much in
  • Cultural, historical, and kid-appropriate daytime activities
  • A few evenings with sitters so parents can do grown up activities (like mezcal tasting) and get an actual break
  • YUMMY food: Several dinners at restaurants your foodie friends at home will be jealous of
  • Engagement: Guides that are excited to be spending time with kids
  • Pre-trip educational activities so your kids will have context for where they’re going, which makes a huge difference in their excitement, enjoyment, stamina, and memory.
  • No guilt… other parents who won’t bat an eye if your kid shrieks or has a meltdown because we’ve all been there

First Destination

Our first destination is Mexico City– and it is amazing! Itinerary here.

  • Overwhelmingly, the kids’ highlights were:
    • 1. A place called Kidzania, where they got to participate in actual occupations (working in a nail salon, making sushi, solving crimes, etc).
    • 2. The babysitters, who were incredible! The kids kept asking if the babysitters would come home with them
  • Parents enjoyed the cultural learning at places like Teotihuacan and the Anthropology Museum, getting away for some VERY DELICIOUS dinners, and spending adult time talking and learning from each other.
  • See my takeaways from the inaugural trip for more!
