When I first saw one of these guys upon my arrival to the Sydney Botanical Garden, I spent 20 minutes trying to take a photo as it walked among and in thick bushes. I thought myself so lucky to get so close to such an incredible bird! Within an hour of birding in Australia though, I realized these dudes are everywhere! Like dozens, all over the place, walking right up to you. People shoo them away as they try and steal a bite of their lunch. I didn't need to spend time slowly waiting for one to pop out of the bush, this one above just walked right over and sat in front of me for awhile. He was eyeing me as I ate a PB&J. True trash birds.
